Production and Distribution of Drawings (2012)

For seven days the public of the Museum, in collaboration with the artist who is available for practical demo, realizes about 500 drawings a day, using each time a new material (coffee, ferrogallic ink, iron dioxyde etc.). The day after having been made, the drawings are taken away for free by the public. Each of the seven series of drawings has a caption that requires that the holder, under specific conditions, eventually gives away the drawing itself..

The project has been realised between January 16 and 22, on the occasion of the opening of the new wing of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, in the context of the exhibition and event "Art Comes to Life" curated by Pieranna Cavalchini.
