"I produced 10,000 artworks using five different techniques (2000 drawings in each technique): wet (shell) gilding, iron gall (ferrogallic) ink, iron oxyde, Aspergillus Niger, or sanguine on paper.
On each piece, individually numbered and signed, was printed the following caption:
'A drawing by Cesare Pietroiusti.
1 of 10,000 unique artworks distributed for free.
The artist's signature guarantees the authenticity of the artwork.
Any financial transaction involving the present object automatically invalidates the signature thereby rendering this drawing no longer the work of the artist, in other words false.'"
